Read and Grow at the Garden: Flutter By, Butterfly!
In order for curious minds to bloom, it is essential to plant a love of reading at a young age. Join Omaha Public Library in the garden for stories that celebrate gardens, plants, insects and more, and discover the joys of nature, movement, music, and literature. Programs are geared towards preschool aged children, but all ages are welcome. This is a FREE program, no registration is required. Drop in and join us!

Lil' Sprouts: Feeling Batty
In Lil' Sprouts, adults and children (pre-K, ages 3-5) work together while learning about nature, shapes, colors, ABC's and 123's. In this month’s class, we will learn all about bats and how they use their ears to find their way in the dark. We’ll also explore how bats are beneficial to the garden. Each registration is good for one child and one adult. Pre-registration is required. $18, $8 for garden members.

Family Workshop: Pumpkin Decorating
Come to the garden to make a fun family pumpkin- we will supply the pumpkin and all of the decorations for you. There will also be a guided walk through the fall garden to explore seasonal color. $25, $15 for garden members. Pre-registration is required by October 7.

Family Workshop: Harvest Basket Centerpiece
It is time to gather in the harvest and gather the family. We will be making a harvest-themed basket for your fall table. In addition to our project time, there will be a guided tour of the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory. $30, $20 for garden members. Pre-registration is required by November 4. Classic holiday fun is here! This family workshop will provide you with all the decorations for your own gingerbread house. Make sweet memories as you celebrate the season. In addition to construction time, there will be guided walk through the garden's festive holiday show. $40, $30 for garden members. Pre-registration is required by November 25.
