Lil' Sprouts: Conservation Celebration
In Lil’ Sprouts, guests engage their senses while learning about nature, shapes, colors, ABC’s and 123’s. Enjoy story time, hands-on activities, crafts, garden exploration and creative play as you discover the wonders of nature. In this class, participants will learn about living green, how to conserve resources, and how to help endangered habitats, plants, and animals. Pre-registration is required. Each registration is good for one child (ages 3-5) and one accompanying adult. $20, $10 for members.

Family Workshop: Soap Molding: Flowers and Trains
Botanical meets mechanical in this workshop that is good, clean fun! Families will cut up and melt an aloe vera soap base, then add essential oils for scent and soap coloring to their bars. There will be a variety of floral and train-related molds to choose from to customize your soaps. All supplies will be provided and with each registration, families can make one regular-sized bar of soap, plus six mini soaps and eight tiny flower soaps. Each registration is good for up to five participants, as long as one adult is participating. $40, $30 for garden members.

In Lil’ Sprouts, guests engage their senses while learning about nature, shapes, colors, ABC’s and 123’s. Enjoy story time, hands-on activities, crafts, garden exploration and creative play as you discover the wonders of nature. Ever wonder about how a plant can come from a tiny seed? In this class, participants will learn the many parts of a plant and explore what a seed needs to sprout and grow into a mature plant. Pre-registration is required. Each registration is $20, $10 for members.

In this workshop, families will get to work on their brick building skills and tour the exhibit Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects®: Made with LEGO® Bricks! All supplies will be provided for each family to make 5 brick flowers with a vase and 10 tiny brick insects. Please note these sets are designed for age 6 and up; younger children will need extra assistance. Each registration is good for up to five participants, as long as one adult is participating. $40, $30 for garden members.

Family Workshop: Paint a Flowerpot and Transplant a Flower
It's spring! Let's plant a flowerpot for a new houseplant! We will try the dot technique to create floral designs on a terracotta pot. As the paint dries, we will tour the garden to see plants that are coming up. Upon returning to the classroom, we will transplant pansies into your pot. All supplies will be provided for each family (up to five participants) to make one pot per registration. $35, $25 for garden members.

Family Workshop: Jewelry Magic for Mother's Day
Using the fun and simple magic of Shrinky Dinks, we'll make some beautiful designs that can be worn by the whole family or gifted to someone special. There will be some printed designs to choose from, as well as the opportunity to create your own designs! You choose your project, decorate it as you wish, and we'll stick it in the toaster oven and watch it shrink! We will provide all materials, including hypoallergenic hooks and post attachments for earrings and silky cords for necklaces. Families can create six items per registration. Each registration is good for up to five participants, as long as one adult is participating. $30, $20 for garden members.
