Herb Garden
The herb garden was developed in collaboration with the Omaha Herb Society. Annuals, perennials and shrubs display the incredible versatility of herbs.

A favorite place of both gardeners and cooks, the herb garden consists of nine different planting beds nestled under a prairie-style arbor that provides anchorage for many climbing plants. Each bed has its own theme such as: culinary, medicinal, natural dye and ethnic. The planting beds are named:

Language of Herbs
Silver
Tea
Fragrant
Knot
Etc.
Culinary
Ethnic Culinary
Dyers'

In the various beds are approximately a dozen different types of thyme as well as garlic chives, chocolate mint, lemon balm and lavender.

As you stroll along the brick pathways that connect the planting beds, you will notice engraved bricks given as memorials and tributes. You can be a part of the herb garden by purchasing a brick. The Omaha Herb Society coordinates the engraving and installation of these bricks, available for $100 each.

Just complete the
dedication form and mail it in to dedicate a brick in honor or memory of a friend, spouse or family member.
