Holiday Chess Blitz

December 22, 2023
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Calling all chess players!

Immerse yourself in a holly jolly chess experience amid the serene beauty of Lauritzen Gardens! Hosted by local chess master Nathan Solon, we invite you to experience the thrill of speed chess games against fellow enthusiasts (clocks will be provided). If you prefer a slower pace, you can feel free to play at your own speed.

Participation is FREE, but Bright Nights tickets are required to gain admission to the venue. Timed tickets may be secured at lauritzengardens.org/bright.

No formal registration is required, but to help us prepare enough boards, please email j.evans@omahabotanicalgardens.org if you plan to participate.

Spectators are welcome!

Spectating is included with paid admission to Bright Nights. Whether you're a chess enthusiast or just curious about the game, all are welcome. Be a part of this engaging event, surrounded by the splendor of Lauritzen Gardens during the holiday season!

Reserve admission tickets in advance at lauritzengardens.org/bright
