Pop-up shop by Ferne Valley Farm The Lauritzen Gardens Guild invites you to celebrate spring at the annual Inspiring luncheon on Thursday, May 7. This year’s featured speaker, Michael P. Gibson, also known as “Gibby-Siz,” is a self-taught property artist and founder of Gibson Works Property Art.
For more than 30 years, Gibson has transformed landscapes into living works of art, creating over 700 topiary installations across the country. He is the creator of the Gibson Method, an illusion based approach that blends geometry, symbolism, and storytelling to transform plants into imaginative sculptures.
His work has earned national recognition from the American Public Garden Association and the United States Botanical Garden, and he has appeared as a contestant on the TV show Clipped alongside Martha Stewart. A former artist-in-residence at the Pearl Fryer Topiary Garden, Gibson now travels nationwide sharing inspiring lectures and workshops about the creative and therapeutic power of contemporary topiary.
Join us for an inspiring afternoon exploring the inspiring intersection of art, gardens, and creativity in the landscape. Reservations open April 1, 2026
