Spring Flower Show

On display through May 9, 2010
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily

DISCOVER YOUR OWN "SECRET GARDEN"
Step inside an enchanting secret garden during this year’s spring flower show at Lauritzen Gardens. This year celebrates the 100th anniversary of “The Secret Garden,” a classic children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and the garden celebrates with this indoor display featuring mysterious meandering paths that lead to new discoveries around every turn.

Because of the duration of this flower show, its plants are ever changing. The show opens with tulips, paperwhites, cyclamen, grape hyacinth, hyacinths, azaleas, begonias, spring flowering trees and shrubs such as camellias, magnolias and forsythia. After Valentine's Day, the display will include cineraria, azalea, begonias, kalanchoe and assorted perennials (such as rosemary and lavendar) amidst spring grass and evergreens.

Become inspired by this magical show that, like “The Secret Garden,” is sure to inspire hope, stimulate exploration and rejuvenate the spirit.

The spring flower show is generously sponsored by
Steve Martin and Amy Haddad, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Nebraska
