International Sculpture Day

On Monday, April 24, 2017 the world will join in celebration of sculpture during the 3rd annual International Sculpture Day, or IS Day. Hundreds of artists, organizations and institutions in over 20 countries will be celebrating the day with open studios, unveiling of public sculptures, sculpture scavenger hunts, pop up exhibitions, demonstrations, iron pours, and much more.

Lauritzen Gardens will celebrate International Sculpture Day with walking tours of our outdoor sculpture collections led by Lauritzen Gardens docents, including our current sculpture exhibit, Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks by New York based artist, Sean Kenney. Tours are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and are complimentary with paid admission or membership. The tours will take place rain or shine-please bring appropriate weather gear.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged by emailing j.evans@comahabotanicalgardens.org or calling Jennifer Evans at 402-346-4002 ext. 204.
