Jennifer Homan was born in Fort Collins, Col., and raised in Kearney, Neb. After graduating from high school, she attended Colorado State University where she studied painting. She graduated from CSU in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in art and teaching endorsement. During the mid 90s, Homan taught art at Thompson Valley High School, The Loveland Art Academy and The Loveland Museum.
After marrying her high school sweetheart, Homan returned to Kearney where she has been actively involved in the art community. She is a member of the Kearney Artist Guild and is actively involved in the Grand Island Sketch Club. She is also an associate member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America. Her artwork has been awarded honors at both state and national juried exhibits. Her paintings have been featured in various galleries and have been shown in the Museum of Nebraska Art and the Audubon Rowe Sanctuary. Homan's work is on permanent display at the Great Platte River Road Archway, in several corporate collections and can be found in private collections from coast to coast.
